An urban Pub that is family and dog friendly set in an eclectic design space. Our aim it to provide a chilled-out atmosphere while serving you quality drinks on drafts and bottles, and dishing out locally sourced produce. It has to be said we use meat from Buxton Butchers and that makes our Sunday roast amazing!

The Phoenix is an independent public house that has been under our current owner since 2010, however the pub it self has been around since 1850! While much has changed, the layout and most importantly the welcoming space where locals and others alike have been coming together and having a good time!

Our local chef with his passion for serving up banging burgers, fabulous pizzas and properly good traditional roasts (at a value price mind you!) complement nicely our quality selection of draft and bottled lager and cider, spirits and wines. 

We strive to be more than just a place you eat and drink though. You'll find we host regular public and private social gatherings as well as the frequently occurring smaller private group parties. One to mention is the monthly club night, Don't Tell Your Mother aka DTYM which we host that pulls in a broad group of people together all with the common love for great music set in a funky environment.
